Here’s a neat looking movie, in the same vein as The Secret. There are also a couple of interviewees that in both in this and The Secret:

1. Joe “Mr. Fire” Vitale - He updates at least once a day, and often more. He also updates from the road, so you know where he’s at.
2. Cultivate Greatness - Articles from a lot of different people. Encouraging and useful info.
3. Drew Rozell - Law of Attraction blog. Good stuff, and thought-provoking.
4. Evolving Times - has Law of Attraction carnival and podcast/internet radio show.
5. Steve Pavlina’s Personal Development Blog - it’s a blog about developing your person. Updates aren’t daily, but the posts are good when posted.
6. Lifehacker - fun stuff. Everytime they suggest a download, I’ll get it, try it out a few days, then usually uninstall it. However, about once every 20 downloads, I’ll find something really cool and useful.

Does it seem like I enjoyed Harv Eker’s Millionaire Mind Intensive? We’ve even started our 10-year old on the 90-day Wealth Conditioning Program. It’s all pretty exciting.
Here’s a video that we got when we went to the MMI. It’s from his Millionaire School course:

This is our last video from the World Wellness Weekend. If you’d like to see our previous videos, check out our Videos Page or even our Videos RSS feed, and if you have iTunes on your computer, you can subscribe to the videos using iTunes.
In this episode, we talk to Jodi from Sacred Inspiration Sound Healing. She discusses how she uses Tibetan Bowls for healing, and even does a demonstration on Michelle. The whole process took about 15 minutes, so I had to cut out quite a bit of it… but it should give you the basic ideas of the Tibetan Bowls.
Next, we talk with Gail from The BioMat Company. Michelle had tried out the BioMat the day before and was amazed by the results. We had been walking around for hours and her back had started to hurt pretty badly. After 15 minutes on the mat, she said her pain was gone and she had a huge smile on her face. In fact, as I was waiting for her to finish, the one thing I noticed about all the people who tried it out — they ALL left with huge smiles on their faces.

I’ve touched on a bit my own story in previous posts, most notably my past skepticisms about things like the Law of Attraction. But now I’d like to focus on something that I’ve struggled with for quite a few years: social anxiety.
For me, it was never really THAT bad. I’ve read stories about people who wouldn’t leave their house… or would have seizures when a lot of people were around. In my case, I would almost refer to it as extreme shyness. When there was a small group of 4 or 5 people, and I already knew a couple of them, I was fine. But put me in a room with a 100 strangers, and I’d clam up. Really, it comes down to one emotion, and that’s “fear”.
I’d always known the reasons behind my issues, and I’d read enough books to know how to “cure” it… but for some reason, I never did. One thing we learned over the weekend at the Millionaire Mind Intensive was that the brain is designed to protect us. It’s not worried about your happiness, just how to keep you out of pain. Eventually, I conditioned myself into a downward spiral, where I got more and more uncomfortable/anxious around smaller and smaller groups of people. My Comfort Zone was getting smaller.
Doug, the trainer at the MMI, made the point that the only way you can progress in life is to expand your Comfort Zone. So while I initially was skeptical, I decided to expand my Comfort Zone a little and let go of some of the fears I had — which were in over-drive considering I was sitting in the middle of 600 total strangers. One of the tasks Doug gave during the breaks was to hug a certain number of people… a task I could never see myself doing. And while it would be a great story if I said, “I hugged 100 complete strangers”, that didn’t happen. But I did hug about 5 or 6. Another lesson that Doug imparted was to not belittle your successes, and hugging 6 strangers helped to expand my Comfort Zone a little… and that’s awesome.
I know I’m starting to sound like a “pitch man” for T. Harv Eker, and you know what? I AM. I found something that has had an immediate and noticeable affect on my life… and I want others to know about it. So click this banner below, and expand your Comfort Zone a little:

I have to be honest and say that Blog Carnivals are a new to me, but I’m glad I found them. I had stumbled across Evolving Times’ Blog Carnival about the Law of Attraction, and I was hooked. I’ve added more than few new subscriptions to my RSS/News reader just from reading some of the links in the Blog Carnival.
This month, the topic is “The Secret“, and one of my posts got linked to… twice. Excellent!
I haven’t had a chance to go to all the links, but the one’s I have been to are top-notch. In fact, the newest blog added to my Google Reader is his featured entry, Today is that Day. There’s some great personal development stuff there.
And thanks again to Evolving Times for the link!

The opening of The Secret talks about the book The Science of Getting Rich being a catalyst for Rhonda Bynres‘ change in thinking. After seeing that I immediately went out and found many copies of it available to download as a pdf, since it is in the public domain. But I’m in my car over 2 hours a day, and I really like to take that time to listen to audiobooks… so I went looking for an audiobook version of The Science of Getting Rich.
I quickly found many different versions, but most of them were really expensive, and I didn’t think it was right for a public domain book to cost so much in the audio format. Then I came across an old cassette tape audiobook which, if not used for profit, could be given away. I cleaned it up as best I could, converted it to mp3s, and now have it available to download. It should be perfect for your iPod or any other mp3 player. I’m charging $6.98 for it, but that’s only to cover the bandwidth costs of people downloading it and website expenses.
Before you download, check out the sample chapter, just to make sure you’re okay with the quality. Since the price is only covering expenses, I won’t be able to refund any money if you’ve already downloaded it. Also, I split it up into 2 .zip files so it should be a bit easier to download. Check out WinZip if you’re unfamiliar with un-zipping files.
Wow! What a weekend! I wish I could detail every single thing we did, but it would lose SO much… it NEEDS to be experienced.
To be honest, I was NOT looking forward to going. I had a long week, it was a 5 hour drive to get there, and my weekend was going to be taken up by 3 days, during which we would spent 13-14 hours at a seminar. We had thought about leaving Thursday evening, but after packing took a little longer than expected, we left at 3:30am Friday morning, and went straight to the Ft. Worth Convention Center. At this point, I had almost made the definite decision to NOT go on Sunday, so I could have at least one day off.
The seminar starts, and T. Harv Eker isn’t the one running the show… and I think “Yeah, this is going to be horrible”. The guy, Doug, starts off with a bunch of energy, the whole *ask a rhetorical question* then ask “yes or yes?” thing. I was rolling my eyes. But… I wanted to be open-minded and give it a chance. Plus, in the bags they gave us at the front door, we had a nice CD case with some of Eker’s CDs and a DVDs in them — so I figured, we’ve already got some value out of it.
One of the first things they do, is have you write out the preconceived notions you have about money, wealth, and rich people. Honestly, mine weren’t very positive. I had the standard “money is the root of all evil”, and “rich people are greedy”, and “wealth is beyond my grasp”. Then they start talking about an interesting money management system called “the jars”. It’s a dead-simple way to organize your finances, and up to that point, I was horrible at managing money… or at least, that was what I had programmed my brain to believe. Now, Michelle and I are going forward with this system and are looking forward to freedom it will provide.
Friday night, we got out of the seminar around 11pm, went to the hotel to check in, and I crashed. However, I had decided there was NO way I was going to leave early. One of the catch-phrases used during the weekend was “How you do anything, is how you do EVERYTHING!”… and there have been too many times where I “left early” in life, metaphorically speaking.
One thing that kept nagging at me though, was the fact that they constantly talk about their other classes and seminars — which absolutely AREN’T free (or even the $97 materials fee of the MMI). They cost thousands. But by the end of the weekend, it didn’t bother me at all. Michelle brought up the point that if the MMI is what they give for FREE, how much more awesome must the paid-for programs be to experience? Also, as Doug would discuss the different courses they offered, every presentation was filled with great info itself. While his goal was to convince people to buy these other courses, he was giving out wonderful knowledge even to the people that didn’t buy the courses. Consequently, Michelle and I signed up for the Enlightened Warrior Camp and SuccessTracs. I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated about our progress.
So, 6 months ago, I would’ve laugh at the notion of going to one of these things. Of course, as I was laughing, I was also “just getting by” financially… so obviously, MY way wasn’t working. However, Harv Eker is already a millionaire… so why wouldn’t I take his advice? If you want to learn a new skill, you find teachers that already have that skill… and making money is just another skill.
I know that anything I post here can NEVER do justice to the experience of going to the MMI, so I urge anyone who’s looking for a different way to get financially free to give this a chance. At the very least, get a copy of the book…. and consider using the two tickets to the MMI that come with it. If you’d like an introduction, without having to dedicate an entire weekend, check out the Millionare Mind evening (a free event), and if there isn’t one close or you just don’t want to leave home, listen to the Millionaire Mind teleSeminar.
